How long does the pain last after a dental implant?

After many years of placing implants, I have heard most patients tell me they were surprised by how little discomfort followed their implant placement! With proper planning before the procedure and easy-to-follow instructions after the procedure, any discomfort is kept to a minimum. Most tenderness is gone after a day or two and is easily managed with Advil, Tylenol, or Aleve.
