Dr. Amanda Matthews

A native of North Wilmington, Dr. Amanda Matthews has been practicing dentistry in the area since 2012 and is thrilled to open her new practice. She graduated from the Tatnall School and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Delaware, graduating summa cum laude with an honors degree in biology and minors in biochemistry, psychology, and Spanish.

Dr. Matthews went on to complete her dental education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with multiple honors. She returned to Delaware to advance her training with a residency program at Christiana Care’s Wilmington Hospital.

For Dr. Matthews, dental care is about more than just teeth; it is an extension of overall health and wellness. She strives to provide high quality, comprehensive, individualized care and believes in maximizing her patients' comfort while providing beautiful and functional results. Dr. Matthews takes time to listen to each individual’s concerns and create a treatment plan that suits their unique needs. Staying up to date with continuing education and new developments in dental technology helps her to provide patients with the highest standard of care.

Dr. Matthews is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Delaware State Dental Society, and is active in local study clubs. She has spent hundreds of hours studying at the prestigious Spear Institute and is a member of their Faculty Club. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, running, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Brian, and daughter, Ava.

Dr. Connie Cicorelli, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Cicorelli is originally from Charlotte, Michigan. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Michigan and continued there, graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1986. Dr. Cicorelli completed a General Practice residency program at the former Medical Center of Delaware (now known as Christiana Care Health Systems), where she honed her skills in a variety of dental disciplines as well as the management of patients with complex medical histories. Dr. Cicorelli has been an attending staff dentist at Christiana Care since 1988 and was an examiner for the Delaware State Board of Dental Examiners from 1994 to 1999. Dr. Cicorelli was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. Fellowship is awarded to only a small percentage of dentists in the nation and is one of the most recognizable designations within the dental profession. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Cicorelli has joined an elite group in the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

In 1998, she married Mr. Michael Ricci, an English teacher and football coach for nearby Garnet Valley High School. Dr. Cicorelli enjoys watching University of Michigan Wolverine football, Rehoboth Beach, and skiing. She is the proud mother of four children: Jonathan (born in 2000), Matthew (born in 2003), and identical twins, Theresa and Natalie (born in 2005).

Dr. Edward Bayley

Dr. Edward Bayley was born and raised in Delaware.  He graduated from the Tatnall School and from there went on to get an Honors BA in Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  During these years, Dr. Bayley was passionate about science and art, and enjoyed painting in the genre of Photorealism.  His interest in dentistry began while searching for a career that would combine science and artistry.  Dr. Bayley completed his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and from there went into the Christiana Care general practice residency program at Wilmington Hospital.  

Dr. Bayley embraces the practice philosophies of evidence-based, conservative and esthetically-driven dentistry.  Each patient presents a unique story and has unique needs. Dr. Bayley takes the time to design a treatment plan that meet’s the patient’s goals and addresses their chief concerns. 

In his work, Dr. Bayley strives for detail and results that look natural.  He stays current with restorative technologies such as Cerec computer-aided design and dental implants. He is active in his local Spear Study Club and the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Bayley is a member of the Delaware State Dental Society, The American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. 

In his spare time, Dr. Bayley enjoys staying in shape by running, hiking, and cross country biking. He is also an avid mineral collector and attends the Tucson Gem and Mineral show annually.
